Wooden letters spelling children's names, or words like DREAM or IMAGINE, or CREATE are very popular in decorating. However, You can have a custom-designed and hand-painted original word created for your home that no one else in the world will have! I have created these letters for clients as well as family. They make wonderful, thoughtful gifts for nurserys, college dorms, or first apartments. The letters themselves can be purchased at craft stores, online, or I can custom make any font that is suitable, in any size. The letters are solid wood, custom designed, hand-painted, and sealed with an acrylic protectant.

FRASER: This little boy's name is painted in the authentic Fraser family Scottish plaid. The client gave me a shirt of the same fabric to match exactly.

LEAH: These letters I made for my niece's room. Each letter is painted with a close-up image of a flower whose first letter corresponds with each letter in her name.

Other Ideas: Each letter can be painted to represent an interest or hobby of the person's name. One large letter represnting the last name of a family can be painted with a lake theme or with places travelled. Consider the words of rooms of your home: LAUNDRY can be painted with swatches of fabrics, RELAX for a porch, painted with vintage special family heirloom photos. CREATE for an art studio or craft room. Retail spaces and restaurants can entice visitors with delectable images of items they sell in the form of words, too!

Pricing: Each letter is $25 and up, plus the cost of the letters. (The letters in Fraser, pictured above in the left column, are 12" high and cost $5 at a local craft supply store.) Custom letters can be quoted, and the price depends on font style and size. There is a $100 minimum for each project.
