I was commissioned by a good friend to paint this Santa on a vintage ironing board that she found at a sale. This is not my original concept - there have been many ironing-board Santas painted! However, I had fun making my own interpretation of Father Christmas. It is painted and then sealed to better withstand outdoor elements, even though it is protected by this alcove in the homeowner's entrance.
