The challenge with designing a mural for use in a children's bedroom or nursery is that I don't want to make the child uneasy or scared of the images. The mural should enhance the decor, not be intimidating or scary. Often parents like to portray animal themes. In this instance, the family requested lambs. I created the baby lambs to look soft and friendly and not threatening, from the child's viewpoint.
The second challenge was that the family wanted something timeless, and not too juvenile, since they wished the room to be used as a guest room long after its life as a nursery.
