This mural acts as a backdrop for an impressive model railroad layout display. The scenes modelled, among several other things, depict life along Keuka Lake in the 1800's as well as the Oil Creek Railroad. Both the logging and mining industries are modelled, also. The mural backdrop spans 50 feet wide and covers three walls surrounding the layout.

The model layout is centered in the room with a walkway between it and the mural. The scene was carefully planned to enhance the layout which already existed (it's been a 20+ year-long endeavor!).
Some featured details include a mine and mining road, some cottages along the lake shore, and a ferry boat on the water. Also depicted is a scene of a logged valley referenced from actual photos taken over 100 years ago.
