Often hand-painting is used to create the illusion of some other decorating technique which is difficult to do for one reason or another. In this case, the homeowner loved the look of a tiled border on the soffit in the master bath, but instead of dealing with the mess of real tiles, she hired me to paint the design to look like tiles.
