This painting was done as a self-promotional piece; my maiden name is Wheeler. I did a series of paintings of "wheels" to both demonstrate my artistic ability to potential employers and clients as well as for "name recognition". On this particular piece, it was important to me to study the reflections on the chrome surface and really make them "shine".
